About

Allow me to introduce myself!

I am Dee Etti-Williams, a Queer BIPOC Theatrical Sound Designer and Composer currently living in Chicago. I have worked in theaters of all shapes and sizes, from intimate store-front spaces to large LORT theaters that seat hundreds of patrons. My work in the theatre has taken me all over the country and has been recognized by my peers through the 1/52 project, a Tony award-winning organization that grants financial support to historically excluded groups, funded and adjudicated by Broadway designers.

It is the honor of my life to share in community with other theatre artists and collaborators the demonstrate the care and intention for one another that is so central to the work that we do. I am constantly inspired by my peers and I’m always so grateful to share in the imagination of how the aural landscape can heighten the stories we tell
